The first ESG Shipping Awards Globally
Sustainable development refers to “Development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.
This platform was born out of the joint efforts of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy and the principal organizers, represents a global celebration of ESG excellence in the maritime industry.
The ESG Shipping Awards is a purposed driven initiative aiming to recognize and celebrate the efforts and achievements of companies in the shipping industry worldwide that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
Each year the ESG Shipping Awards cover various categories, recognizing companies that have implemented innovative and impactful initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, to prioritize their employees, to support the society and to demonstrate strong corporate governance practices and ethical conduct.
The winners of the ESG Shipping Awards, are selected through a rigorous evaluation process that considers the company’s performance, initiatives, and impact in the respective categories. The awards ceremony provides a platform for industry leaders to showcase their sustainability efforts to their stakeholders and inspire others to follow.

The ESG Shipping Awards THE CONFERENCE serves a sequel to the awards aiming to provide a platform for companies to showcase their award-winning practices, share insights on the impact of these actions on operations, and discuss the challenges and opportunities encountered during implementation. All ESG Awards winners are participating in panels relevant to their award-winning actions.

In these series we embark on a journey of enlightenment and collaboration in pursuit of sustainability within the shipping industry. As an extension of the ESG Shipping Awards initiative, our seminars and workshops serve as dynamic platforms for knowledge exchange and in-depth exploration of ESG best practices. Led by industry experts, these events are designed to empower shipping companies with the insights needed to integrate sustainable development principles into their operations.
